Discounted clearance item! Due to over-purchase we offer this one-off opportunity to acquire 100 of these gorgeous, individually hand-carved scarabs! Designs vary slightly as each one is unique, this special order from Luxor is glazed and oven-baked to give it a classical "faience" look.

Representing the God Khepri at dawn. Scarabs symbolised rebirth and resurrection after death in Ancient Egypt. Khepri was believed to renew the sun each day and roll it across the sky. Scarabs were worn as amulets by the living often with the cartouches of gods engraved on the undersides to enhance their magic powers.
